Treasure Trove: The Literary Gift Company
I have recently discovered this fun online shop… The Literary Gift Company. They have such delightful little gifts to give to your friends and family who are of the literary persuasion.
Take, for example, this puzzle. I really don’t do puzzles often enough (they’re good for the brain), and by often enough, I mean since I was about 10. BUT, had I this Jane Austen puzzle, things might be different.
Description: settle down for a cozy afternoon with this literary-minded puzzle. Cleverly packaged in a booklike box, this lovely puzzle features illustrations from the Regency Era, paired with quotations from Austen herself.
Details: 500 pieces. Assembled puzzle measures 45 x 35cm.

And who doesn’t adore this famous quote by the author of Little Women. What better way to show it off than to use it on your morning mug?
“She is too fond of books…” Mug
Description: too fond of books? Of course we are! The perfect quotation for female book lovers printed on a perfectly designed mug.
Details: bone china. Quotation appears on both sides of the mug.

I must say, I am utterly curious to see what they think a paperback novel smells like. I’d be willing to find out if I were given a bottle of this perfume.
‘Paperback’ Perfume
Description: from The Demeter Fragrance Library. Smells just like an English satire from the 1970s – sweet, timeless and only very slightly musty. Simple, subtle and original.
Details: contains 30ml in a glass bottle. Not tested on animals.

Haha, wonderful findings Wallace! Off to check out their store
Love it! What a dynamite site. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
The perfume reminds me a lot of the book “Perfume”. There he describes all sorts of scents that you never even imagined existed, like a doorknow or a pebble. Great link, Wallace.
I wanted to read that book, but I kept backing down because I knew it would scare me a bit. It sounds like SUCH and interesting read though! Maybe some day I’ll get my courage up and just read it and keep the lights on all night afterwards.
Oh, no, it is not scary at all in that sense. The villain is pretty bad but nothing is described in a way that would actually make you leave the light on. It’s fabulous.
Oh really? Good to know, I might be adding this one back onto my wishlist then.
Ooo this is fantastic! I’m bookmarking this site now!
OMG! Want! That puzzle is a definitely must
I’m clicking even as I type this.
Thanks for posting about this Wallace
I want that puzzle too… I think I would actually DO a puzzle if it was a Jane Austen puzzle.
What cool things Wallace. I will have to check out that site. I have to say, I’m not interested in the puzzle because it’s ONLY 500 pieces!!! That wouldn’t take very long to put together. I love jigsaw puzzles…LOVE them. I’m currently looking for a 3000-5000 piece one that I like. I did a 2000 piece one that was fun, but only took me about a week to put together. The 1000 piece puzzles I can do in a day. Sad. It makes puzzling not as much fun because all the pretty puzzles are 1000 piece ones.
I am also interested in the paperback perfume. That sounds perfect for Fi since she forever goes on about the smell of a book. I might have to get that for her for Christmas or something. LOL!
What fun finds – I love stuff like this
What a BRILLIANT find! I love it all….and want it all….
We need to have a store like this that is US based! I want everything!
Oh my god all of this stuff is awesome. I am going to buy that mug right now. Thanks for the links!!
